Extracts From Annual Report

V.U.C.S.A.

The following are extracts of the report to be presented at the Annual General Meeting on the 29th inst.

Executive: In October 1935 Miss M. A. Harding, on her departure from Wellington, found it necessary to resign her seat and Miss Joy Stock was elected to fill the vacancy. Mr. H. R. C. Wild during his absence on tour through the "lurid East" received three months' leave of absence.

Building Committee: At the last Annual Meeting it was recommended that your Executivbe consider revision of the Constitution of the Building Committee. After careful consideration your Executive decided that revision was unnecessary.

The Committee has had several meetings, formal and informal during the year and has made considerable progress.

Cafeteria: A committee was appointed to inquire into conditions in the College Cafeteria.

Finances: Audited statements of the Association's accounts for the year are posted and show that the finances are satisfactory.

Gymnasium: The life of the building now appears to be about five years and your Executive appeals to all members to realise the seriousness of the position and to leave no stone unturned to bring about the establishment of a new building. (This seems true.)

Passing reference is also made to the purchase of periodicals, the retirement of Mr. E. T. Norris, and reports of Tournament Delegates and Men's Comon Room Committee are attached.
