Photographic Club — Annual Meeting

Photographic Club

Annual Meeting

The annual report and balance sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Photographic Club on Wednesday last showed the club to be in a healthy position. Mention was made of the various activities of the club during the year, particularly the addreses given by prominent Wellington photographers, who continued to give the club their support.

Further equipment has been purchased for the darkroom, while some additional items to be obtained shortly will greatly increase the usefulness of the darkroom.

It was announced that the Executive is again offering a prize of £1/1/- for the Spike Photographic Competition. The high quality of work submitted last year shows that there is considerable talent at the College, and augurs well for a good display in this year's Spike.

The election of officers resulted as follows:—Chairman, Mr. O. A. E. hughan; Hon. Sec.-Treas., Mr. C. H. Smythe; Committee, Miss Mackay, Messrs. R. S. Odell, I. S. Hunt and J. T. Salmon.

A Correspondent Writes:

Next year, with no procession in view, we shall have plenty of energy to spare and surely it could find no better outlet than a determined effort to squash any recradescence of Mothers' Day.
