Fencing Club — Annual General Meeting

Fencing Club

Annual General Meeting

The Fencing Club held its annual meeting last Thursday night ot elect officers for the coming year and to decide the question of the tutition of new members.

The following officers were elected:—Chairman and Club Captain, G. C. Bliss; Secretary-Treasurer, Hutton; Committee, A. J. Hull and P. Wycherley.

It may interest intending members—and we hope there will be a good muster this year-to know that the club is dispensing with the services of an outside instructor, thus saving the expense of training fees.

As fencing has quite a strong hold in Wellington now, it is hoped that V.U.C. Fencing Club will be well supported so that strong teams can be sent from here to compete with outside clubs.

If you have developed middleage spread, or premature degeneration of the figure, the club will guarantee to give you that "school-girl figure," or the "Charles Atlas figure," together with enjoyment and not a little excitement.

It was decided to hold the club night on Tuesday evening from 7.30 onwards in the ground floor of the Gymn. Practices will commence the first Tuesday of next term.
