Crambe Repetita

Crambe Repetita.

It is to be hoped that the Student Association Executive wlil continue the good work of last year in making College songs better known amongst students. Tournament this year is to be held at Dunedin, where students are noted for their comaraderie and who always make their presence felt at any public gathering by their concerted action, which is so much more effective than scattered individual effort. Song evenings in the Gym., with the words of the songs shown on a screen are happy informal gatherings, which have the additional advantage of introducing freshers to their fellow students. This consolidates the good work of the Freshers' Welcome Dance and the very informality eases the natural stiffness with which we reserved New Zealanders are always cursed when we appear in public with our fellows. To freshers we would extend a welcome on behalf of the College, less formal perhaps than that of the Professors, but none the less sincere, and once again we would stress our invitation to throw aside your feeling of newness and to enjoy yourselves at those functions.
