This Club is now in the third year of its existence. Its popularity was clearly shown by the very enthusiastic attendance at the General Meeting and by the large membership, which now stands at about forty.

As this game has not been very much taken up in Wellington, difficulty is found in arranging outside matches. It is hoped that arrangements may be made to play many of the local schools this year.

The Club is to be congratulated upon its efficient play, despite the limitations of the College Gymnasium as a playing field.

Victoria College v. Normal.

An extremely interesting match was played against the Normal School team on May 22nd. Our team had had very little practice, but with the exception of a little crowding now and then in different parts of the field the game was a good exhibition of Basket Ball play. The teams were evenly matched, and all through the play was very exciting. The game ended in a draw, 16-16. Goals were thrown for our side by E. Smith (7) and R. Battersby (1).

We were pleased to see Mrs. Sommerville watching the game.
