Glee Club

Glee Club

Sketch of woman and man standing together

This year the Glee Club commenced with a large membership. The first practice gave promise of a very successful year, but unfortunately there has been a sudden decrease in the number of male members. It is to be regretted that there are not more men students who are willing to give up one single hour a week in order that the Glee Club may carry on the good work.

Further practices for this term have been abandoned on account of the Extravaganza practices. We hope, however, to begin next term with renewed enthusiasm and also an increased male membership.

At the end of last year we intended giving our annual concert at the Porirua Mental Hospital and also another at Trent ham. but as many of our members were stricken with influenza, all thoughts of such concerts had to be abandoned. Our concerts for this year have not yet been decided.

At the beginning of this term we had our Welcome Dance, and this has so far been our only function.

Our thanks are due to our conductor, Mr. F. P. Wilson, who has so willingly given up much time in helping forward our Club.
