Women's Club

Women's Club

It argues well for the popularity of this Club that though still in its infancy, it has a membership of over seventy. The selecting of some twenty hostesses to run each evening serves a twofold purpose; it rouses Individual interest and minimises individual work.

Towards' the end of last session a sports evening was held—a distinctly novel form of amusement, into which those present entered enthusiastically, This year, early in the term, a Japanese evening was held as a welcome to freshers. On May 3rd the Club gave a very successful fancy dress dance to the members of the Haeremai Club.

Next session we hope to hold a further series of socials and dances.

We have to thank our patronesses for their interest in the Club and its affairs and their willingness to assist in all possible ways. The Japanese lanterns which proved so effective at the Club's last dance were donated by them.
