The long-separated rival teams—the drawer and the drawee-IIA and IIB met at the close of the season to pay off old scores. A's were one man short and one of B's best forwards was "engaged." A keen fast game ended: IIB—,3 IIA—1; Wilde, Brailsford and Mackenzie scoring for the B's and Matthews for the A's. No score in second spell. At an indignation meeting held on the boat by IIA it was decided to issue a second challenge to the victors.
