Be it Enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. | Short Title. The Short Title of this Act is "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act Amendment Act, 1895." |

(1.) | Interpretation. In this Act, if not inconsistent with the context,—
- "The principal Act" means "The Licensing Act, 1881":page 2
- "The Licensing Acts" means "The Licensing Act, 1881," and its amendments, including "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1893," and this Act.

(2). | Division into Parts. This Act is divided into the following Parts:—
- Part I.—Relating to the licensing poll.
- Part II.—Relating to miscellaneous amendments of the licensing law.

(3). | Commencement of section 3. Section three of this Act shall not come into operation until the day next before the day appointed for the hereinafter-mentioned licensing poll first taken after the commencement of this Act. |
(4). | Repeal. Sections fifteen to twenty, inclusive, of "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1893," and also the Second, Third, and Fourth Schedules thereto, are hereby repealed. |
