Be it Enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short Title. The Short Title of this Act is "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act Amendment Act, 1895."

(1.) Interpretation. In this Act, if not inconsistent with the context,— "The principal Act" means "The Licensing Act, 1881":page 2 "The Licensing Acts" means "The Licensing Act, 1881," and its amendments, including "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1893," and this Act. (2). Division into Parts. This Act is divided into the following Parts:— Part I.—Relating to the licensing poll. Part II.—Relating to miscellaneous amendments of the licensing law. (3). Commencement of section 3. Section three of this Act shall not come into operation until the day next before the day appointed for the hereinafter-mentioned licensing poll first taken after the commencement of this Act. (4). Repeal. Sections fifteen to twenty, inclusive, of "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act, 1893," and also the Second, Third, and Fourth Schedules thereto, are hereby repealed.
