1894, No. 32.—Local. An Act to authorise the Transfer of the Site of the Native School at Kirikiri, in the Thames County, to the Purposes of a Public School. Title.

Whereas under the provisions of "The Native Schools Sites Act, 1880," Preamble. the site of the Native school at Kirikiri, containing four acres and one rood, more or less, was transferred by the Native owners thereof to Her Majesty in trust for a Native school, and a certificate of title under "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," has been issued for the said site to Her Majesty:

And whereas the Education Board of Auckland is desirous of acquiring the aforesaid site for a public school, and the aforesaid Native owners, under the provisions of "The Native Schools Sites Act Extension Act, 1890," have consented to the said acquisition, subject to being paid a sum of two hundred pounds as an equivalent for such site; and the Education Board aforesaid is willing to pay such sum, but cannot do so without special sanction of law, it being a larger sum than is authorised by the last-named Act to be paid in such cases:

And whereas it is expedient that such special authority should be given:

Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1.The Short Title of this Act is "The Kirikiri Native School Site Act. 1894."Short Title.
2.The Education Board of Auckland is hereby authorised, out of its funds, to pay a sum not exceeding two hundred pounds for the acquisition, under "The Native Schools Sites Act Extension Act, 1890," of the site of the Native school at Kirikiri, for the purposes of a site for a public school, under "The Education Act, 1877."£200 authorised to be paid for site for public school at Kirikiri,
