Transfer from Robert Duke to G. T. Clayton.
Know all men by these presents that I the undersigned do
hereby make over unto 1841. 1 January.Kororareka.Transfer from R. Duke to G. T.
Clayton.
G. T. Clayton his heirs and
successors all that part and portion of Land purchased by me from the Native Chief
King George well known to Europeans by that name the said Land being bonâ fide my Property by right of Purchase residence and consanguinity the
said property I hereby sell and make over unto the aforesaid Geo. Thos. Clayton
for Receipt for £200. the sum of Two hundred Pounds being paid me on account of the same. In
testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name.
