Translation.

We Have received on this 12th day of May in the year of our Lord 1862 the sum of1862. 12 May. Thirty Pounds in money as payment for our piece of land herein described.Moturoa.
The boundaries of the land commence at Ngakioretahi thence along the survey atReceipt for £30. Te Moturoa, thence along the hill to Otutapaturangi thence to Ngakioretahi. We haveBoundaries. absolutely sold this land to Victoria Queen of England for ever for the said sum of Thirty Pounds which we have this day received.
