Translation.

1859. 24 August.Received on this 24th day of August a.d. 1859 the sum of Forty pounds in paymentRangatawhao. for all my lands at Ahuriri i.e. at the Rangatawhao, at Mohaka, at Kaiarero, that is atReceipt for £40. all the places to which I have any claim in the lands of Ngatiterautangata and of Ngaitamawahine. On the payment to me of this amount this day I put an end to all I have to say about these lands which are sold to Victoria the Queen of England for ever and ever.
