Na ehara tenei i te utu whakaotinga mo taua kainga tena ano ona rangi e oti ai nga tikanga katoa mo tenei kainga kia oti te ruri, te hurihuri me te korero mo tenei kainga, hei reira whakarite ai nga utu e toe ana.

Napier, Febry. 26th, 1858.
IHave Received from Mr. Cooper the sum of Ten Pounds sterling given to me as payment1858. 26 February. for my land, for Pakiaka a Matai, which I surrender to Victoria the Queen ofPakaiaka-A-Matai. England and to the Kings or Queens who may succeed her for ever.Receipt for £10.

This is not the full consideration for that land—on some other day all the arrangements for it will be settled. When it is surveyed and pondered over and discussed then will the payments remaining on this land be fixed.
