1855. 4 April. We have received on this fourth 4 day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand

eight hundred and fifty five 1855 the sum of three hundred pounds £300 once told paid to us by Mr. McLean for our lands at Mohaka at Waikare and inland the names of the boundaries whereof are written on the other side of this paper as written and assented to by us at our general meeting at Mohaka on the fifth 5 day of December on the receipt by us of two hundred pounds £200 in the year 1851.
Three hundred pounds £300 was received by us in the month of January in theJanuary, 1853— year 1853.
Receipt for £300. Three hundred pounds £300 being the final instalment we have this day received and on the receipt of these monies and the fulfilment of all the conditions and the final surrender of this land to the Europeans we have hereunto subscribed our names and marks in the presence of this assembly.
