Translation.

This Deed1859. 20 June.Hawke's Bay. dated this 20th day of June 1859 is a paper of our true consent to sell a piece of our land to Victoria the Queen of England and to all the Kings and Queens her successors for ever. The boundaries of this land are these, beginning atAropawanui.(Tareha's claims.) Aropawanui at the termination of Hepanaia's sale running on to Mangahinahina thence to page 531the Waipapa stream thence to the Sea and back to Aropawanui. The money that we have received for this piece of our land is two hundred pounds £200. When the survey of the land is completed then will be seen the length and breadth of the land and the balance of the purchase money.Boundaries.Receipt for £200.
