Esquire on this day the eighteenth (18th) of January1862. 18 January. 1862 the sum of Thirty Pounds £30 as a final and completion of payments to me for allTuhitarata my lands at "Tuhitarata" Wairarapa which have been sold to the Crown. The paymentReceipt for £30. on this land is completed but this sum is given to me as a pledge of love by the Government.
