1853. 19 October.Manawatu District.Wehave received from Mr. McLean the sum of Three hundred Pounds
in money (£300) as payment on account of our land which we have now sold to
Victoria the Queen of England and to the Kings and Queens who may succeed Her for
ever.
Manawatu. The arrangements about the boundaries about the quantity of land and about
theReceipt for £300, first instalment. price will be settled at a future time we will talk over and settle that
with Mr. McLean at a future time.
Boundaries. But the boundaries of the land we have written down and consented to. They
are delineated on the document. Paora Pohatu drew a sketch of that land yesterday.
