Translation.

Wellington, 9th January, 1856.
We have received on this day, the ninth 9 of the days of January, in the year of Our1856. 9 January.Tauherenikau. Lord 1856 the sum of Two Hundred Pounds £200 . 0 . 0.
These monies are a payment to us for our lands at Wairarapa which it was agreedReceipt for £200, fourth instalment. should be given to us in this month for Hikawera and for all our lands.
