This Deed made the fifteenth day of December, 1874, between Her Majesty Queen1874. 15 December.Otaki District. Victoria on the one part, and Pinehira Rangitiora, Tui Makitonore, h.c. (HughNgakaroro No 2E. McDonald), Te Teira Ngapawa, Mere Tiaki, Katarina Kita, Keita Hemi Kupa, Hiriwanu Manahi, Penehira Ngaoka, Hera Rangiuia, Maka Pukehi, Unaiki Wi Parata, Ranginui, Eruera Te Whioi, Makareta Pineaha, Ihaka Ngamura, Winara, Whiu, Hare Wirikake, Paiura Te Rangikatatu and Pitihora of Otaki, Aboriginal Natives of the Colony of New Zealand, (hereinafter called "the vendors,") of the other part, witnesseth that, in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty seven Pounds ten shillings (£257 . 10 . 0) by Her Majesty paid to the vendors on the execution hereof (and theReceipt for £257 . 10 . 0. receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged), the vendors do, and each of them doth, hereby surrender, convey, and assure unto Her said Majesty, all that block or parcel of land containing one thousand nine hundred and thirty three acres, or thereabouts, known or called Ngakaroro No. 2e, as the same is more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and delineated on the plan drawn on this Deed and coloured red; together with all rights and appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining: To hold the said land and premises with the appurtenances unto Her said Majesty, Her Heirs and Successors, for ever. In Witness whereof the vendors have hereunto set their hands the day and year first aboye written.
