Translation.

This deed is a sale of land written on this day the twenty third day of December in the year of our Lord (1854) one thousand eight hundred and fifty four which is the full1854. 23 DecemberWairarapa District.Kuripuni.Boundaries. and true consenting of us the men whose names are hereunto affixed to fully give up and make over part of our land to Victoria the Queen of England and to the Kings or Queens who may succeed her for ever. The boundary of the land which we this day fully give up are these commencing at the Timata at Kuripuni thence on to Marama page 316thence on to the Moari thence on to the Umupukurau thence on to the Awa o Tokouru thence on to the Rangaweki thence on to the Kahaparera thence on to the Wai o teReceipt for £150. Matia thence on to the Waitawa it here joins with the point from whence the boundaries first began at the bridge at Kuripuni. The total amount for this land is the sum of £150 this being the final payment to us for this land for ever and having received this money this day in token whereof we affix our names and full consent.
