Translation.

This Deed1853. 14 December.Wairarapa District. conveying land written on this 14 day of December in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty three is a paper of the full consent of us the people whose names are attached to this Deed on behalf of ourselves and our relations entirely to give up a certain portion of our land to Victoria Queen of England and to the Kings orNorthwood's Homestead. Queens who may succeed her for ever and ever.

The boundaries of the land commence at te Ahiaruhi thence to Ruamahanga thence to Kapuarangi thence to Ngawakakiore thence to the mouth of the Waipipiraho and up that river to the path leading to the end of the fence and thence to te Ahiaruhi.

And in consideration of our full consent on this day entirely to give up the land within theseReceipt for £100. boundaries with the timber waters and all appertaining to the land Victoria Queen of England agrees to pay us the sum of £100 One hundred pounds which money we have this day received of Mr. McLean.
