This Deed made the seventeenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and seventy three Between Tamati Whiwhiana Retimana Korou, Wi Paraone and Arapata Te Haruru of Wairarapa in the Province of—(hereinafter called the Vendors) of theMaungaraki. one part and Her Majesty Queen Victoria (hereinafter called The Queen) of the other part Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Three hundred pounds paid by Thomas Herbert Hill of Wairarapa to the Vendors (the receipt of which they doReceipt for £300. hereby severally acknowledge) The Vendors do and each of them doth hereby convey and assure unto the Queen her heirs and successors All that piece or parcel of land situate in the East Coast district in the province of Wellington containing one thousand six hundred and sixty six acres more or less and known as the Maungaraki Block boundedBoundaries.
