This Deed made the eighteenth day of November One thousand eight hundred and1872. 18 November.Wairarapa District. seventy two Between Matini Ruta and Tapatu Matini the Wife of the said Matini Ruta, Ihaia Whakamairu, and Erihapeti Whakamairu the Wife of the said Ihaia Whakamairu, Te Haruru and Tihei the Wife of the said Haruru, Karaitiana Korou, Wi Waka KahuNgatapu No. 2. kura, Ngakuku Wi Tinitara, and Paora Te Ihumaoa Pinanau all of the Wairarapa District in the Province of Wellington Colony of New Zealand Aboriginal Natives of New Zealand and Huru te Hiaro of the Manawatu in the Colony and Province aforesaid also an Aboriginal Native hereinafter called the Vendors of the one part and Her Majesty QueenReceipt for £60. Victoria of Great Britain and Ireland of the other part Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of sixty pounds (£60) paid by Her Majesty Queen Victoria to the said Vendors (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) They the said Vendors do and each of them doth hereby according to their respective interests transfer yield up surrender convey assure and confirm under Her Majesty Queen Victoria Her heirs and successors All that piece or parcel of land situated in the Province of Wellington Colony of New Zealand being part of the Block called or known as "Ngatapu No. 2" containing by admeasurement Five hundred (500) acres (more or less) Bounded towards the North by other part of said Block being Crown Land FourBoundaries [500 acres.] thousand (4000) links towards the East by the Wai te Horo Stream Eight thousand five hundred (8500) links towards the South by other part of the said Block being Crown Land Seven thousand five hundred (7500) links and towards the West by other part of the said Block being Crown Land Eight thousands (8000) links as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan drawn hereon and coloured red Together with all the rights and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate interest right or title of the said Vendors therein To hold the said piece or parcel of land with the appurtenances unto Her Majesty Queen Victoria Her Heirs and Successors In Witness whereof the said parties have hereunto subscribed their names.
