Translation.

1854. 20 May.We have received from Mr. McLean on this the 20th day of May, 1854, the sum of Waikaka. Thirty Pounds (£30) as an earnest for our land at Waikaka and Puketea, being a large Receipt for £30, deposit. block of land. When it has been fully surveyed, the entire payment will be arranged.
