Translation.

Auckland, 14th June, 1862.
1862. 14 June.Kopuranui, &c. I have received this day the sum of Forty pounds (£40) paid to me by G. W. Drummond Receipt for £40, advance. Hay this money being a payment on account of lands already sold to the Government, being the undermentioned blocks—
  • Tawhitirahi sold by Maihi.
  • Kopura nui sold by Maraea.
  • Te Papa and Te Puhingerengere sold by Horopeta.
in consideration of this money I surrender on my own part and for all of us all claim whatever to these lands now finally ceded to the Government.

We hereby renounce all right and title to these lands. In token of my consent to all that is contained in this document I sign my name on account of all of us.
