Translation.
1854. 26 July.Kaiotemanu.We have received on this the twenty sixth (26th) day of July in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four the sum of Fifty
pounds (£50) being Boundaries. the first instalment for a portion of our land situated at Manukau, named
Kaiotemanu. Receipt for £50, first instalment. The boundaries commence at Kaiotemanu, thence to te Kawakawa, thence along
the line of coast to Muriwhenua, thence turning inland to the boundary of the land
sold by Hoete. The total amount of payment will be agreed upon when the boundaries
have been surveyed.
