Received from Mr. McLean the sum of one hundred Pounds (£100) being the final 1854. 11 July. Orakei. payment for our land Orakei which we have finally ceded to Victoria the Queen of England and to the Kings or Queens who may succeed Her for ever.
And in token of the entire giving up of this land and the payment of the final Receipt for £100. consideration for this land Orakei I sign my name and make my mark this eleventh day Te Hira’s claims. of July in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty-four.
