Herangi (Mr. Searancke) nga pauna moni e Wananaki. toru tekau £30 ko etahi enei o nga moni utu mo a matou whenua kei "Wananaki." Ko te rironga mai ki a maua o enei moni e tino wakaae poho ana maua kia wakaatu atu ki a te Herangi (Mr. Searancke) nga rohe Receipt for £30, advance. o taua wnenua i nga rangi e takoto ake nei i reira kia oti hoki te ruri ka wakatakotoria nga utu e toe aha.

Translation.

We have received to-day the 27th of January 1863 from Mr. Searancke the sum of £30, 1863. 27 January. this is a portion of the payment for our land at Wananaki. The receipt of this money Wananaki. is a proof of our agreement to point but the boundaries to Mr. Searancke at some Receipt for £30, advance. future time, then when the survey is complete the balance will he paid.
