Auckland, November 25th, 1844.
Received from the Chief Protector of Aborigines the following articles to complete purchases 1844. 25 November.Bay of Plenty District. of land by H.M. Government at Matamata and Maketu.

1 one mare.

1 one filly year & a half old. Maketu.
1 one saddle. Receipt of horses, &c.

2 two bridles.

1 one blanket.

25 twenty five sheep.

Also 1 one saddle as a present to Chief Tohi of Maketu.

1 Pr. Boots for Taipari, Chief of [unclear: Ngatihe].
