Received from the Chief Protector of Aborigines the following
articles to complete purchases 1844. 25 November.Bay of Plenty District. of land by H.M. Government at Matamata and Maketu.
1 one mare.
1 one filly year & a half old. Maketu.
1 one saddle. Receipt of horses, &c.
2 two bridles.
1 one blanket.
25 twenty five sheep.
Also 1 one saddle as a present to Chief Tohi of Maketu.
1 Pr. Boots for Taipari, Chief of [unclear: Ngatihe].
