Translation.

Auckland 8 January, 1855
We Wiremu Nera and his sons have this day received the sum of Ten pounds (£10) 1855. 8 January. Tutaenui. Receipt for £10, advance which monies we will refund to Mr. Kemp out of the final instalments for our lands at Whaingaroa or rather the above named sum is to be deducted therefrom. The name of the block is Tutaenui.
