1854. 4 September.Whaingaroa Block.We Hetaraka and Mohi sons of Wiremu Nera Te Awaitaia have this day received the sum of Thirty Pounds (£30) once told from Mr. McLean through the hands of Mr. Receipt for £30, advance Kemp, Now these thirty pounds are to be repaid to Mr. McLean when we sell our lands at Whaingaroa to the Government of New Zealand; and if it is not paid from the sale of our lands then we will repay it from the sale of our wheat and potatoes and other produce.
