Lower Waikato District mo nga wahi whenua i wakapakeketia e au ara mo Oruarangi Oruarangi, &c. mo te Tehe kiore mo te Wakaheke mo te Ararata, mo nga whenua katoa i hokona e te Tawa o Ngatiwhatua ki nga pakeha, ko enei wahi katoa ka oti pu i au te tuku tika ki nga pakeha i tenei ra Receipt for £60, on lands sold by Ngatiwhatu i te wara o nga ra o Hune i te tau o to tatou arrki 1855, Ekore hoki au e tuku i tetahi' tangata kia wakararu i nga pakeha ki enei whenua mo taku wakaaetanga pono ki enei kupu ka tuhia iho e matou ko oku-Tamariki o matou ingoa.

Translation.

Received from Mr. McLean the sum of sixty pounds £60 . 0 . 0. This is the payment 1855. 8 June. for certain portions of land to the sale of which I always objected:_that is, for Oruarangi, for Lower Waikato District Tehe Kiore, for te Wakaheke, for te Ararata, for all the lands which were sold by te Tawa of Ngatiwhatua to the Europeans. I hereby give up to the Europeans all the above named portions of land on this, the 8th day of June in Oruarangi, &c. the year of our Lord 1855: nor will I permit any person to molest the Europeans Receipt for £60 on this land. In testimony of my solemn assent to these conditions, myself and my children hereunto affix our names.
