1854. 4 May.Waikato Heads.Kua riro mai i a matou i a Ngate tahinga nga pauna e rua tekau (£20) he whakatapu Karoroumanui. i to matou wahi whenua i Karoro-uma-nui e tukua ana ki a te Kuini Wikitoria o Receipt for £20, deposit Ingarangi.

Koia matou ka whakaae ka tuhituhi i o matou ingoa i tenei ra i te wa o nga ra o Mei 1854.

1854. 4 May.We Ngatitahinga have received the sum of £30 as an earnest for a portion of our Karoroumanui. land at Karoroumanui which we are selling to Victoria the Queen of England.
Receipt for £20, deposit. In testimony whereof we hereunto affix our names this fourth day of May.
