This Deed entered into on the sixteenth day of September in
the year One Thousand 1853. 16 September.Manukau District. Eight Hundred and Fifty three being the consenting of the Chiefs who have
signed their names below, also the consenting of the Queen of England on he part
now we the Maunu Otu And Tomotomo. owners of the Land described in this Deed do agree to sell this land to
Queen Victoria for the sum of One hundred and Fifty of the current coin of England
given now to Aihepene and Katipa and Noa and to us all, for this we give and make
over to Victoria and her Heirs for ever all this Land and all thereto belonging.
The Boundaries are Boundaries. these on the North by Tuhimata on the East by the line of Rama Rama on the
South by Tutaenui on the West by the Boundary of Pukehiwi that is Pukekohe the
name of this Land is Maunu Otu and Tomo Tomo. A sketch of this Land is on the
other side.
