1842. 28 January.Manukau District.Know all men by this book, we the Chiefs and men of Ngatitaihau do let go and sell these lands of ours that are contained within the boundaries written in this book to George Clarke the protector of natives for H.M. Victoria the Queen of England her Papakura. heirs and successors whether male or female for ever, the land and all things that are on, or under the surface of this land to George Clark an Estate for the Queen her heirs Boundaries. and successors whether male or female for ever. The Northern boundary begins at Otaimako from thence along the plain to Patoetoe ascending thence to Wairata from thence to Ohutu coming out at Ratahi; the boundary on the South begins at Waipapa to Mata to Wharawhara and to Hopuhopu Tarakoramuka to on the West is at Otaimako along the sea shore to Waipapa: the Eastern boundary is Puketutu from thence to Weraroa from thence to the Mura from thence to the Rape: Receipt for £400 and six horses. Waimihia alone we except for an estate for us: We receive these payments for our land. Four Hundred pounds Money, six horses.

Witness our names and our signs written in this deed this day at Auckland on the twenty eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two.
