Translation.

The execution of this document on the 27th day of December one thousand eight 1851 27 December. Mahurangi District. hundred and fifty one is the consent of us the Chiefs of Ngatiwhatua and also the consent of the Queen of England on Her part now we Te Keene, Te Taipau and Te Reihana the owners of the place described in this document consent to sell this land to Queen Pukekauere. Victoria in consideration of the sum of ten pounds sterling paid to us we therefore give up and cede to Victoria the Queen of England and to the Kings or Queens who may succeed Her for ever that land and all things thereunto appertaining of which the following are the boundaries: On the North Okura and the Queen's boundary which has been Boundaries. surveyed, on the East the Queen's boundary commencing at the Orewa stream thence direct to the main road leading to Maurice Kelly's bush, this boundary has been surveyed. On the South along the main road leading to Maurice Kelly's bush following the road into the bush and coming out to the fern to the stream (or Swamp) Huruhuru. On the west along the stream Huruhuru right on to the Queen's boundary from Te Orewa this boundary has been surveyed and the plan of the land is shewn on the back thereof.

We have received the sum of ten pounds stated in this document and we thereforeReceipt for £10. sign our names on this twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.
