Auckland, April 25,1844.
Hearken all people to this document by Te Horeta, that is by all the people of' Ngatiwhanaunga 1844 25 April. Mahurangi Reserve. we have ceded to the Governor the piece of land reserved by Ngatipaoa (which Ngatipaoa have given to us) the boundaries are Te Tumu and Waimai We give this land up altogether to the Governor. The payment for giving up this land is four hundred pounds of tobacco: And I have hereunto signed my name this 25th of April, Receipt for 400lbs. tobacco. in the year of our Lord 1844.
