Arakiore Block, Kaipara District.

This Deed1874 26 OctoberKaipara District.Arakiore. made the Twenty sixth day of October 1874 between Her Majesty Queen Victoria on the one part and Paora Tuhaere of Auckland and Kiwara Te Ro of Kaipara Aboriginal Natives of the Colony of New Zealand (hereinafter called "the vendors") of the other part witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Ten Pounds Reciped for £10 (£10) by Her Majesty paid to the Vendors on the execution thereof (and the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) the Vendors do and each of them, doth hereby surrender convey and assure unto Her Majesty all that block or parcel of land containing Four hundred and seventy acres or thereabouts known or called Ara Kiore as the same is more particularly described in the schedule hereto and delineated plan drawn on this Deed and colored red; together with all rights and appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining. To hold the said land and premises with the appurtenances unto Her said Majesty Her Heirs and Successors for ever. In Witness whereof the Vendors have hereunto set their hands the day and year first above written.

Signed by the said Paora Tuhaere and Kiwara te Ro after the contents had been explained to them by an Interpreter of the Court and they appearing clearly to understand the meaning of the same.

BoundedBoundaries. [470 acres.] towards the North-East by the Kaukapakapa block, on the South by the Tikokopu block, on the South-West by the Rautawhiri block, on the North-West by the Kaikai block.

He Pukapuka tuku rawa atu tenei na Paora Tuhaere raua ko Kiwara To Ro i tera whenua katoa tona ingoa ko "Arakiore" kia Wikitoria te Kuini o Ingarangi ki ana uri ki nga Kingi ki nga Kuini i muri i a ia ake tonu atu ko te utu mo taua whenua £10 Ko tona nui e wha rau e whitu tekau eka nui ake iti iho ranoi. Ko nga rohe enei ki te kotiu tua marangai ko Kaukapakapa ki te tonga ko Ti tokopu ki te tonga tua pauauru ko Rautawhiri nama rua ki te tuaraki ko Kaikai.
