Know Ye that, for good considerations Us thereunto moving, We, for Us, our
Heirs
Crown grant to Riparata
Kahutia and others. and Successors, do hereby Grant unto
Riparata Kahutia, Kateraina Kahutia,
Raharuhi Rukupo, Mokena Pakura, Hori
Karaka, Renata Ngarangi, Eparaima te Kura, Pita Ngungu, Rota Waipara, Hirini te
Kani, Rutene Kiwara, Kingi Hori,
Tamihana
Ruatapu, Henare Ruru, Wiremu Pere, Hoera Kapuaroa, Keita Waere and
Paora Parau Aboriginal Natives of New Zealand their Heirs and Assigns, All that
Parcel of Land in our Province of Auckland in our Colony of New Zealand,
containing by admeasurement seven hundred and forty one (741) acres more or less
situate at Turanganui in the District of Poverty
[741 acres.] Bay County of Stafford being called or known by the name of "Turanganui
No. 2" and numbered One thousand five hundred and sixty two (1562) on the
Register of the Inspector of Surveys, Bounded towards the North by the Taruheru
River towards the
Boundaries. East by the Waionga Ruawai Block One hundred and fifteen (115) links
Four hundred and twenty six (426) links and six hundred and five (605) links by
the Turanganui River and by the Turanganui No. 1 Block Three hundred and fifty
seven (357) links and Two hundred and seventy four (274) links towards the South
by lines Two thousand three hundred and twenty five (2.325) links Two thousand
three hundred and nine (2.309) links Four thousand three hundred (4300) links
One thousand six hundred and seventy two (1.672) links and Two thousand seven
hundred and two (2702) links and by a Swamp and towards the West by a line Eight
thousand eight hundred and sixty nine (8.869) links Provided always that it
shall be lawful for the Governor at any time hereafter not exceeding Ten years
to take and lay off for public purposes one or more line or lines of road
through the land aforesaid Provided that the total quantity of land which may be
taken for such line or lines of road shall not be more than after the rate of
Five acres in every One hundred acres—As the same is delineated on the Plan
drawn in the margin hereof, With all the Rights and Appurtenances thereto
belonging: To hold unto the said

te Kura, Pita Ngungu, Rota Waipara, Hirini te Kani, Rutene Kiwara, Kingi Hori,
Tamihana Ruatapu, Henare Ruru,
Wiremu Pere, Hoera Kapuaroa, Keita Waere and Paora Parau their Heirs and Assigns
for ever subject to the above proviso, as from the ninth day of August one
thousand eight hundred and sixty nine.

of our Colony of New Zealand.
