Translation.

1836. 14 December.Whaingaroa District.Let all hearken to the giving up by us of our place Horea to Mr. White. Now these are the boundaries commencing at Rangitoto thence inwards to Te Tiki O-Rereata. This is the end of that boundary, thence to Te Kaweka leaving out Marshall's place thence up on to the hill and thence till the boundaries meet. It is gone fully and entirely to Mr. White. Horea.
Now these are the payments for the place.

  • 2 Sovereigns
  • 5 Iron pots
  • 5 Spaes
  • 1 hat
  • 1 Bell.
  • 100 Figs Tobacco.
  • 100 Pipes.
  • 1 Great Coat.
  • 2 Razors.
  • 1 Big box.
  • 2 Pairs Scissors.
  • 5 Combs.

These are the people who sold Horea to Mr. White, and the witnesses also.
