Translation.

1853. 18 May.Lower Waikato District.This Indenture executed on the 18 of May in the Tear 1853 being an agreement the Chiefs Te Nga, Isaac Pepene and Retimana te Mania and Her Majesty the Queen of England on her part, Now the said Nga, Isaac Pepene and Retimana Te Mania being the owners of the land hereinafter described in this Deed hereby consent to sell this Ramarama Extension. Land to the Queen Victoria in consideration of the sum of £10 to be duly paid to the page 569said Nga, Isaac Pepene and te Retimana te Mania in virtue of which we hereby give and make over to Victoria Queen of England to the Kings or Queens succeeding her for ever the said piece of Land and all appurtenances thereunto belonging this being our consent to the extension of the Boundary Line of Rama Rama to the Eastward as Boundaries. described in the plan endorsed on the back thereof being a line 3° to the Eastward of the original boundary commencing at Tauenga Hioi thence to the top of the range where it joins the line from Tane to Waiora.
