Hedged with Divinities
Preface
Preface.
I feel that some apology is needed for daring to add a single atom to that great sea of fictional literature which is coming in upon us like a flood. Sometimes its waves cast at our feet a string of pearls like Romola, sometimes the dissected carcase of a dead dog, like Nana. My little book is a mere foam-bubble blown along the beach. Over sand and ripple let it drift.
