Teaching of Natural Science
Teaching of Natural Science.
Natural science is finding its way surely though slowly into the curriculum of our older English universities and of our secondary schools. It is becoming a prominent feature in the upper divisions of the elementary board schools in our large towns. There are scarcely any important metallurgical works in the kingdom without a chemical laboratory in which the raw materials and products are daily subjected to careful analysis by trained chemists. The attainments of the young men who have been trained in the Royal Naval College at Greenwich recommend the in for remunerative employment by our great shipbuilding firms.
