Immigration and Passenger Movements.

During the year, 5,410 immigrants arrived in the Kingdom. Of this number 3,108 arrived from China, 1,961 from Japan, and 341 from other countries. The departure of immigrants page 4 aggregated 1,805, showing an excess of arrivals over departures of 3,605.

The number of passengers that arrived during 1885 was 1,730; departures, 1,783; passengers in transit, 4,327.
