Unsurveyed Land

Unsurveyed Land.

Although lands offered by the Government arc generally first surveyed, provision is made whereby any one can apply page 18 for unsurveyed land. The applicant in such case has to deposit a sum sufficient to cover the estimated cost of survey, which will he credited on account of the whole price of the land, if for cash; or as rent, if under any other tenure. The survey will in all cases be conducted under the direction of the Surveyor-General. The cost of survey is ultimately credited to the applicant as part payment for cash, or for rent if under other tenure.
