Black-bulb and Radiation Thermometers
Black-bulb and Radiation Thermometers.
The difference in the amount of cloud in the atmosphere is best illustrated by a reference to the average readings of black-bulb and radiation thermometers, for which comparison certain observations from the stations on the opposite sea coasts of the Southern Alps have been tabulated; but the extreme readings of the black-bulb page 67 thermometer, especially at the southern stations, are very remarkable, as they frequently reach to 175° Fahr.
