I beg to second the resolution, and to assure Mr. Forster that as Sir Charles Tupper has answered for Canada, so I, who have spent half a century in the Australian Colonies, can say that there also his name is regarded with the same kind of feeling. We know that he does not give up to party what was meant for mankind, and the identification of his name with this movement will inspire confidence among Englishmen in all parts of the world.
