An Act to amend "The New Zealand University
Act, 1874."
Title.
[28th August, 1875.]
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand
in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the tame, as follows:—
Preamble.
1. The Short Title of this Act shall be "The New
Zealand University Act, 1874, Amendment Act, 1875."
Short Title.
2. Section twenty-three of "The New Zealand University
Act, 1874," is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof it is enacted as follows:—
Section 23 of "University Act, 1874," repealed.
The said Senate shall have power, after examination, to confer the several degrees of Bachelor and Master in Arts, and Bachelor and Doctor in Law, Medicine, and Music; and such reasonable fees shall be charged for the degrees so conferred as the Senate shall from time to time direct.
