The following statement shows the per capita per centage of duties paid in the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec, adding 50 per cent, of the duties collected in Montreal to the Ontario revenue, it having been ascertained, according to the Commissioner of Customs by careful enquiry, that about 50 per cent of the goods imported at Montreal, are sold to parties residing in Ontario.—
